In 'Petty' Move, Liberal Justices Erase Conservative's Name From State Law Library: Bradley

The liberal partisans on the state Supreme Court are erasing former Justice David Prosser's name from the state Law Library, according to conservative Justice Rebecca Bradley, who labeled it a "petty and vindictive maneuver." She says they are replacing his name with the name of Lavinia Goodell, "Wisconsin's first female lawyer." Bradley exposed the move on X, writing, "In another petty and vindictive maneuver, the progressive majority of the Wisconsin Supreme Court flexes its political power to remove Justice David Prosser’s name from the State Law Library." She added, "In honor of Justice Prosser's decades of service to the people of Wisconsin in all three branches of government, the court named the State Law library after him after 18 years of service on the Wisconsin Supreme Court." Bradley continue, "As Wisconsin's first female lawyer, Lavinia Goodell was a trailblazer. The court could have honored her achievements in a multitude of ways but instead the majority—again without the input or consent of their colleagues—chose to insult Justice Prosser." https://twitter.com/JudgeBradleyWI/status/1803484870561108097 The website for the Wisconsin Law Library still declares it the "David T. Prosser Jr. State Law Library." In 2016, then Supreme Court Chief Justice Pat Roggensack, a conservative, announced that the law library would be named after Prosser "in light of Prosser's upcoming retirement and many years of service." Prosser served on the court for 18 years. He was first appointed to the court by Republican Gov. Tommy Thompson in 1998 and was re-elected twice, according to his court bio. A Supreme Court press release at the time the law library was named for Prosser says, "In all, Prosser spent more than 40 years in public service, including experience in all three branches of state government. He retired July 31, after 18 years on the Supreme Court. Earlier in his career, he served as a tax appeals commissioner, legislative leader, and a prosecutor." Prosser has long been the receptacle of liberal justices' wrath. Liberal Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, who is still on the court, once accused him of choking her, a claim he adamantly denied. However, a special prosecutor reviewed the accusations and determined there was no basis for criminal charges, noting that justices opinions on the incident varied, according to NBC News. "I believe a complete review of the report suggests there is a difference of opinion. A federal prisoner was charged on Friday with attempted murder in the brutal prison stabbing of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of killing George Floyd. Prosecutors say John Turscak, 52, stabbed Chauvin 22 times in the law library at the Tucson Federal Correctional Institution in Arizona with an improvised knife. Federal Probe Centers on Milwaukee City Council Approval Of Concert Facility In Deer District: Mark Belling

By Mark Belling, WISN-AM A federal grand jury investigation is focusing on approval by the Milwaukee Common Council of the proposed concert venue to be built near Fiserv Forum in the Deer District. The existence of the federal probe was first reported by me on Friday November 10. I have learned that the ongoing probe is focused on two Milwaukee aldermen who reversed their original opposition to the project. I am not naming the aldermen as they have not been charged but I am aware of who they are. The 4,000 seat concert venue is to be built by Madison's Frank Productions, which is owned by the national music promoter Live Nation. The president of Frank Productions is Joel Plant. The firm retained prominent lobbyist Buddy Julius in the weeks before it obtained council approval. The land on which the facility is to be built is owned by the Milwaukee Bucks. We're old enough to remember when American hostages held by terrorist groups overseas were big national stories, their names known by every American through wall-to-wall media coverage; their release sought through aggressive pressure by U.S. presidents, local politicians, and the media. Terry Anderson , the Associated Press journalist kidnapped by Hezbollah in 1985, comes to mind. Or Kevin Hermening, A hostage held captive during the Iranian hostage crisis. Or Daniel Pearl , murdered after being taken hostage in Pakistan. Yet it's surprisingly extremely difficult to find a list of the six Americans held hostage by Hamas, as of Jan. 19, if you don't already know their names. Their names should have immediate household recognition by now; the U.S. government should be doing everything in its power to secure their release.
