Sheriff David Clarke: Tammy Baldwin Has 'No Record of Accomplishment'

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke is slamming U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, saying the Democrat has "no record of accomplishment" even though she's spent more than 20 years in Washington D.C. Clarke stopped short of announcing a campaign against Baldwin, instead saying, "There's a lot of speculation going on at this point in time about my potential running for United States Senate." https://twitter.com/jtoscano22/status/1704277033277345800 The former sheriff, speaking in front of a thin blue line flag, called a Senate run a "huge leap, a big step. There's a lot to go through." But he sounded like a candidate. "Senator Tammy Baldwin, the incumbent, has been in Washington D.C. She's a lifer; she's a career politician. She's been there for over 20 years, and she has no record of accomplishment. I think Wisconsin can do better than that." Baldwin has been a U.S. Senator since 2013. From 1999-2013, she served in the U.S. House. Before that, she was a state representative. He added: "She can't put her name on any major legislation that she has moved through the Congress." "She's basically a reliable vote for Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden," Clarke said. He told people to "hang in there" until "that decision comes," presumably whether he will run against Baldwin as a Republican. Businessmen Eric Hovde and Scott Mayer are also considering a run against Baldwin. A federal prisoner was charged on Friday with attempted murder in the brutal prison stabbing of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of killing George Floyd. Prosecutors say John Turscak, 52, stabbed Chauvin 22 times in the law library at the Tucson Federal Correctional Institution in Arizona with an improvised knife. Federal Probe Centers on Milwaukee City Council Approval Of Concert Facility In Deer District: Mark Belling

By Mark Belling, WISN-AM A federal grand jury investigation is focusing on approval by the Milwaukee Common Council of the proposed concert venue to be built near Fiserv Forum in the Deer District. The existence of the federal probe was first reported by me on Friday November 10. I have learned that the ongoing probe is focused on two Milwaukee aldermen who reversed their original opposition to the project. I am not naming the aldermen as they have not been charged but I am aware of who they are. The 4,000 seat concert venue is to be built by Madison's Frank Productions, which is owned by the national music promoter Live Nation. The president of Frank Productions is Joel Plant. The firm retained prominent lobbyist Buddy Julius in the weeks before it obtained council approval. The land on which the facility is to be built is owned by the Milwaukee Bucks. We're old enough to remember when American hostages held by terrorist groups overseas were big national stories, their names known by every American through wall-to-wall media coverage; their release sought through aggressive pressure by U.S. presidents, local politicians, and the media. Yet it's surprisingly extremely difficult to find a list of the six Americans held hostage by Hamas, as of Jan. 19, if you don't already know their names.
