Milwaukee Police are attempting to identify and locate the suspect and vehicle wanted in connection to a fatal hit and run that occurred on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at approximately 1:55 a.m., on the 2100 block of W. Canal St.
The suspect vehicle is described as an unknown 2018-2020 white SUV, possibly a Kia Sportage.
The suspect vehicle struck a pedestrian that was crossing the street. The unknown driver fled the scene in the vehicle. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milwaukee Police at (414) 935-7360, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (414)224-Tips / or P3 Tips App.

A federal prisoner was charged on Friday with attempted murder in the brutal prison stabbing of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of killing George Floyd.
Prosecutors say John Turscak, 52, stabbed Chauvin 22 times in the law library at the Tucson Federal Correctional Institution in Arizona with an improvised knife.
Turscak was charged with attempted murder, assault with the intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault resulting in bodily injury.
Turscak told correctional officers that he would have killed Chauvin had they not responded so quickly. Officers used pepper spray to subdue Turscak.
Turscak would later tell FBI agents that he attacked Chauvin on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, because it ws was symbolic with the Black Lives Matter movement and the “Black Hand” symbol associated with the Mexican mafia gang, the complaint says.

UW-Milwaukee's pro-Palestinian protesters have erected a sign outside their fenced-in encampment on a prominent campus lawn that declares that police are not allowed on the state taxpayer-owned property.
They are now calling it the "Falasteen Lawn," which means Palestine Lawn. "Free Palestine. No cops allowed," the sign declared on May 6.

DEI is a bad idea. It is divisive, racist, and anti-meritocratic. Coleman Hughes , Ayaan Hirsi Ali , Elon Musk , and a host of other first-rate minds have vigorously come out against it. Yet, our Coast Guard leadership continues to promote it without discussion or debate. For an objective observer, that should be the first clue that something is very, very wrong.
Supporters of this ideology are fond of the term ‘cultural competence,’ which they seem to believe is obtainable in a seminar or a classroom, but there are other paths to knowledge. For example, I enjoyed twenty-eight years in federal law enforcement, which, among other things, afforded me familiarity with the inside of a crack-house.
